Adria fig cake with lavender

Adria fig cake with lavender
The aromatic scent of lavender, so characteristic for Dalmatian islands, inevitably had to be a part of the gastronomic story of Adria. Lavender is an herb known as "the smell of the Mediterranean", and its name in this form has been known for almost 2,000 years. The word lavender comes from the Latin word "lavare" which means washing or bathing, in short, purification. Of course, women have discovered the seductive effects of this plant, and Cleopatra used its magic in seduction of Mark Antony which, as the story says, was excellent accomplishment. Other women of ancient times had a few sprigs of lavender near the bed to stimulate passion with their smell. Check the truthfulness of these stories with Adria fig cake with lavender.
